In the autumn of last year we approached members of our 'Patient Reference Group' about aspects of surgery life they would want to see in a survey. After feedback we created a survey which we sent out to a random selection of patients from the surgery. The survey is available to download from 'Our documents' page or you may ask for a copy from the reception. We also have to report on the process that we followed in communicating with our Group and how the survey was achieved. This is accessible through the 'Our Documents' section of the website.
From the comments we decided to improve confidentiality in the waiting area and over the next month or so you will see the changes the survey has brought.
We have had music installed in the waiting area to try to eliminate and disguise the noise from the reception area. We have tried to choose music that is easy to listen and hope that no-one is offended by our choice.
We are also having screens installed behind the reception desk to improve confidentiality and these should be in place by the end of February.
Lastly we have purchased some high seated chairs for the waiting area to make it easier for elderly and disabled patients. These chairs are being specially manufactured and should be with us by the end of March.
Thank you to everyone who took part in the survey and hope you like the changes.
